Casa dos Xarês was the subject of an application to the Rural Development Programme (Proder) managed by ADRACES and has extended and credited the tourist offer in the frontier district. It was a dream come true of its promoters who left their life in Lisbon and decided to start from the scratch in the region of Idanha. The recovery of a building, family owned, which was degraded, became a huge challenge to the developers.

Characterized by a rustic and cozy atmosphere with magnificent landscapes, abounding reasons for a neat ride in the International Tagus Natural Park, the Casa dos Xarês is a haven for all who seek tranquility.

The owner, Isabel Lencastre, intends to offer a diverse range of recreational activities and simultaneously enhance the value of natural resources of the surrounding environment. The sweeping views of the stunning natural landscape and all the surroundings created in the enterprise makes this new project an enhancer of Rosmaninhal Town. Isabel Lencastre believes that the integrated and diversified model of accommodation, catering, entertainment and culture "involves the complementarity of experiences, a personalized proximity service and the realization of planned activities and themed events associated with local products of the territory, ecotourism , hunting tourism, nature and equestrian".

The work included the creation of six themed rooms of accommodation, all named after rivers and streams of the region and decorated with local details, such as hunting, nature, fishing and mountain biking. Two of the rooms are located in a house adapted for users with reduced mobility. It includes a kitchenette fully equipped for those who want to cook. The reception is also a shop of regional and craft products produced by home and small local / regional producers, their partners. In leisure and recreational highlight to the dining room and living with a game table, a large LCD a barbecue area.
